Job description:

The customer department delivers hosting services to IT departments from several different business lines.
From 2008 to 2010, the IT Infra department has built an ITIL v3 compliant Configuration Management System, integrated with other ITSM processes such as Incident & Change Management.

The big challenge for 2011-2012 is:
- to build a group CMS, integrating & discovering all IT Infrastructure components spread all over Europe, mainly in Brussels & Paris.
- to define, publish, manage and control an efficient Configuration Management Process for the Group
- to integrate the CMS with other Group Processes
- to automate compliancy checks for IT Infrastructure Policies

The CMS will be based on HP BTO Software (Service Manager + uCMDB + PPM + Asset Manager + Configuration Manager). The new solution preferably uses as much out-of-the-box functionalities as possible and will combine the best of both worlds.

1st phase :

• Service, Asset & Configuration Management
o setup of the new CMS tool
o definition of a unified CMDB data model
o Implementation of Financial intelligence to transform IT components in Costs

2nd phase :
• integrate Incident, Problem and Knowledge Management

3rd phase:
• integrate Change and Release Management
• build Service Catalogue

Detailed Job Description

You will be a member of the Configuration Management team, which currently consists of 7 persons.
It will be your responsibility to:

• master & maintain a consistent Data Model integrated with the other IT processes and needs of all IT teams using the CMS.
• maintain a High-Quality and consistent Administrative CMDB by performing recurrent controls on the data & data model integrity.
• deliver reporting on CI’s & links between CI’s to other processes (Incident, Change, Service Level, Billing)
• prepare Comparison Reports about CI’s: discovery vs administrative information
• plan, prepare and present tool specific Trainings for end users
• identify possible Process Improvements for the different teams in the IT Infrastructure Department, propose solutions, implement and evaluate the desired situation
• act as Process Owner delegate for Configuration Management during inter-departmental application meetings.
• Control, Deliver & Improve Financial valorization of IT Assets

Profile

• Overall High Level Knowledge of common IT Infrastructure concepts (server, firewall, SAN, database, SAP, …) and processes (change, incident, config)
• Team-player but able to work individually (take the lead)
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Analytical, pragmatic and pro-active
• Strong drive to achieve results and move the organization forward
• Certification of ITIL Foundations is a must

Level :

Master: +6 years experience


Languages required:

Bilingual FR/EN or DU/EN is a must
Trilingual (English, Dutch and French) is an asset
